The High Holy Days offer us the opportunity to reflect upon and renew the journey of our lives. We are delighted to offer a wide array of worship and study opportunities designed to meet the needs of the many members of our community. Our worship schedule, as well as new worship and study opportunities will, I hope, bring added meaning and significance to your High Holy Days experience. May you be written and inscribed for a year of blessing and peace.
Rabbi Barry M. Lutz, R.J.E.
Worship Opportunities
Our Main Sanctuary service combines the power of tradition with the challenge of contemporary readings, reflections and music. These services, designed for the adult members of our congregation, will be led by Rabbi Lutz, Rabbi Brynjegard-Bialik, Rabbi Samansky, and Cantor Roher, along with our High Holy Days Choir. As always, through inspirational prayer, moving song and thought-provoking words, worshippers will be guided through the challenges and ultimate rewards of this time of repentance and renewal. This service is open to all. Parents are advised to consider their own child’s ability to behave appropriately during this service to assure that everyone’s religious experience is meaningful.
Family Services are geared towards parents with young children. This hour long service, led by our clergy along with Rick and Addie Lupert, offers opportunities for children and adults alike to join in both traditional and contemporary song and prayer while sharing in stories and special Torah readings reflective of the mood of the season.
New and improved TAS Youth program for grades K-8: If your child is too old for Family Services but not yet ready for the Adult Service, drop him/her off at our Youth Program! They will participate in High Holy Day games, snacks, a craft project, a story/drama activity, and a short age-appropriate service. You can enjoy a meaningful Adult service without having to worry about your children, while they have a great time learning more about our High Holy Days in a fun way! These services will be held on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur days. Tickets are not required, but you must RSVP by calling the Temple Office or visiting our website.
