Cynthia Carol Spoon

Office Staff

Cynthia Carol Spoon has been a part of Temple Ahavat Shalom since August 2004. In addition to her duties as Administrative Assistant, she has used her expertise in numerous areas, including Life Cycle Events and The Caring Community. Cynthia enjoys meeting and greeting members of the congregation and creating a “welcoming” atmosphere at TAS.

She earned a B.A. from UCLA and attended Sawyer Business School. Her varied background includes working in the hospitality industry. Cynthia was with the Hilton Hotel Corporation and was the Director of Catering for the Bel Air Sands, Radisson, and the Marina Del Rey Hotel properties. Listed in the LA Wedding Book, she worked on many weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvah events. She was an Event Planner for The Beverly Hills Education Foundation.

Cynthia worked in the real estate industry with NAI Capital Commercial, received her real estate license, and is a real estate investor, providing homes for numerous families in the Memphis area. She also has staged homes for sale in the LA area.

Cynthia is a creative writer of children’s books and she produced a self-image audio program for kids. She has modeled, has been a member of The Sweet Adelines women’s chorus, and enjoys gourmet cooking. She is an animal lover and likes spending time with her precious cat, Dora Shirl.
