Terms of Service – Mobile Communications

Temple Ahavat Shalom can text our members with reminders of upcoming activities, scheduling updates or new event registration opportunities.  Here are some brief examples of the types of messages you may expect to receive when you opt-in:

  • “TAS – Just a reminder that our next Erev Shabbat Service is this Friday at 7pm.” 
  • “TAS – No Religious School this Sunday, next class is […]” 
  • “TAS – Sign up now for our next event, RSVPs must be received in the next two days.” 
  • “TAS – The office is closed Thursday and Friday.” 

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to (818) 477-4714.  After you send the text message “STOP”, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been successfully unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.

If you want to join again, you may access your account online and select the Opt-in checkbox under preferences or through Email at membership@tasnorthridge.org or by calling (818) 360-2258 and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.  You may also reply with a ‘START’ message to (818) 477-4714

If you are experiencing any issues with the messaging system you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly through Email at membership@tasnorthridge.org or by calling (818) 360-2258.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Messages will be sent from (818) 477-4714.  Message frequency may vary and you may expect to get about 5 messages monthly.  If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
